They resided in Red Clay,Tn. in the late 1700's, early 1800's. They were reputed to be of Cherokee lineage and participated in tribal affairs. John took ill and died just before the Trail of Tears. Modare either died before or on the Trail of Tears. I am related by their son, James G. Craig, his son, John W. Craig and his son,Lee Noah Craig, my grandfather. Any info on them would be deeply appreciated. Also any pertinent websites tracing the Cherokees in the Red Clay, Tn. area. Ty for your attention. KCB
