I have exhaused all avenues. He first shows up in Windsor, Nova Scotia, as a Loyalist soldier in the 84th Regiment, Royal Highland Emigrants on 25 June 1782. The Revolutionary War ended in l783 and he petitioned, and received, a Land Grant her in New Brunswick (then part of Nova Scotia) in 1797. The years between, he kept peititioning until he got the final grant in l797. I know absolutly nothing of his background & origin. He died up here in 1833. I have complete genealogy of the family from that point on. My DNA is also on file, but no finds so far. Our Craig DNA Administrators are Greg Craig, gicraig@telus.net and Terry Barton, terry@bartonsite.org. Also Herb Henricks from down your way is very knowledgeable and has done DNA I believe on some Craigs. Best of luck, hope we can connect.
