I have to agree with James Alexander Craig that some of the messages on this list are trivial and as he said, bickering. We probably ought to think a little more about queries and answers to help one another. I know I could not help you, James, as I am one of the orphan CRAIG families so often listed on here. I can go back to my 3g grandparents, James CRAIG and Elizabeth HASTINGS, in western Pennsylvania in the US, but there it ends. I don't know if we are Irish or Scottish, and there are a lot of things beyond that which are unknown. That is just my explanation about why I could not reply. I wish for your sake there had been more positive offers to help, but I can't speak for others on the list as to what they might have known, and the lack of responses just really might be because no one knew enough to help you. We are all still learning and searching. Ed Scriven
John and all ... maybe it is time to revisit how to handle photos on the list .... a number of you already stated some of the pieces and parts but maybe an addition to the info you send to the new list member is in order???. something like: * Do not attempt to send photos as an attachment or included in the body of you email to this list. * Send any photos (Using only the .JPG file type, i.e.., JPEG format) to the following address (?????) for posting on a web page, include any descriptive information you wish shown with the photo. * You may also indicate that you will send a photo of such and such, via a private email reply, to anyone requesting it directly from you. (Again, please use the JPEG format to keep transmission time to a reasonable limit.) What do you think. Gary D. Craig garygdc@worldnet.att.net ----- Original Message ----- From: "Edward A.
