Hi, I have not done very much toward this subject, but for what this suggestion is worth, I would go to the state archives and then search through county by county. Also, I find it helpful to go to the probate records in any areas you think might turn up something. Also, the National Archives have some lists of Cherokee marriages. If you can get one correct name and follow it, you can turn up all kinds of gems.
