The election was stolen from the people and given to a candidate who by any count received fewer votes than his opponent. It's a great and everlasting disgrace to our country, an embarrassment to our standing in the world. It hardly seems a matter for rejoicing. Rather there should perhaps be a day of mourning for the death of what we thought our democracy stood for.
