Laine, There is a strong possibility that your Ann is the brother of my James Craig. Unfortunately, I don't know who his parents were. According to census records, he was also born around 1824 in North Carolina. He married Susan Hopgood on Septebmer 11, 1845 in Cherokee County There is also a William Craig who lived in Pickens County around the same time frame that might also be connected. I have never seen anything regarding Ann before, so this is exciting news for me. James and Susan lived their lives in the corner where Pickens, Cherokee and Bartow Counties connect in the Salacoa valley. I believe that they are buried in unmarked graves at Pleasant Arbor Baptist Church in Cherokee County. I really believe that James and Ann must be siblings or cousins at least. Some of the names of Ann's children are repeated with James' children. I'd love to hear from you. Carole
