My husband's family is from Edgar County and before that were in Logan County, IL. The genweb is free and can be very useful. We believe my husband's Craig line was here long before your time frame, but there a lot of Craig's on that side of the state. You may want to check out Indiana on that site also as there are several Craig families there and is right next door to the area you are looking at. Good Luck!
