    1. [CRAIG-L] Essie CRAIG WILLIAMS 1902-1996
    2. Craig Tally
    3. Dear CRAIG cousins, I have made an interesting discovery. I have been researching my gggrandfather Isaac E. CRAIG (one of my brick walls) for about a year now. I recently found the obituary of his son by his first marriage, John Samuel CRAIG (I am descended from the second marriage...), who was born in St. Joseph MO in 1861 and died in Joplin, MO in 1945. In researching this family, I learned that one of his daughters, Esther L. CRAIG WILLIAMS, died in Joplin in 1996. When I found her obituary, I read that her grandson, David Williams, wrote a children's book about her early life. It is entitled Grandma Essie's Covered Wagon (ISBN 0-679-80253-3). I was thrilled to discover that our public library had a copy of the book, and in it was a picture of Essie, her siblings, and her parents John Samuel CRAIG and Hattie LARKINS CRAIG. The book never mentions the surname CRAIG, but it tells a lot about the family's travels from Missouri to Kansas to Oklahoma and back to Missouri. It sure did fill in a lot of blanks for me in my research! I am planning to add it to my library if I can find a copy to purchase. Happy hunting to everyone! Anita HILL TALLY Joplin, MO

    3. Anita; I noticed your surname is Tally, are you doing a search on the Tally line as well? Tully is one of the surnames as well as Craig that i am researching. Could you tell me something about the Tallys? Like where do they originate from and the given names as well.
