My interest is in two brothers named John and David CRAIG. The father of my well-documented ancestor Robert CRAIG (b. 1744, Lancaster Co PA; d. 1834 Washington Co VA) was named David. This David was b. 1712 and d. in Lancaster Co in 1759. By unproven family legend, this David CRAIG had a brother John, whose son John Jr. was a Captain of the 4th Contl Dragoons in the Rev War. My research has turned up a John (Sr.) who was declared dead in 1758, after being taken captive by Delaware Indians in 1756, and who did have a son John (Jr.). But I have no conclusive evidence that THIS John is my David's brother, or that he is the father of the Dragoon. (Same old story, too many CRAIGs with same first names bouncing around....) I had never before heard of a THIRD brother (the James II cited), of thier father (James I). Can you tell me any more that might "forge" some links? John Craig ANDREWS JCDrews@aol.com
