    3. Paula, You need to find first the parents names, a possible birth certificate? you don't show timeframes of the people so it is hard to help that way. I have been digging quite a bit into Ireland and North Ireland lately. Sandra Tracy Paula Faulkner Barker wrote: I have my family here in America....I want to find them in N. Ireland and Scotland but that seem impossible...I have never been able to trace them across the ocean. That would really be my goal...My Craigs were from Antrim...came over on the Lord Dunluce...one of Rev. Martins ships.

    3. . JOHN1 CRAIG was born 1717 in N. IRELAND, and died July 26, 1819 in LANCASTER DIST., SOUTH CAROLINA. He married ELIZABETH GALLOWAY Abt. 1748 in N. IRELAND. John Craig, Esq, came from Ireland on the LORD DUNLUCE, one of five ships bringing 467 families, many of whom were Covenanters coming with the Rev. William Martin from County Antrim, Ireland. With Rev Martin on board, the ship sailed from Larne, North Ireland, October 4, 1772 and arrived in Charleston, South Carolina, December 20, 1772. The LORD DUNLUCE was the largest of the five ships bringing these people to South Carolina in 1772 where they expected to receive land and live free. My mother's maternal grandparents were born in Ireland in the mid-1800's, showed up in England in 1878 (six of their nine children were born there) and came to America in 1888. Her grandfather was born in County Down and her grandmother was born in County Antrim. While I have the names of their parents, I have no data on the parents birthdates or any more specifics on locations for anyone. (I do have the birthdates of my mother's grandparents.) I would go to my relatives, but the ones I have located are related by marriage or adoption and have no historical knowledge of the family. I've been told that the rest of them are dead. (If they're not, they certainly are doing a good job of hiding from me.) I have one clue to go on which would require that I look at the 1901 Ireland census. Do you know if I can do that in America? Everything I've read seems to indicate that you must go to Ireland to do your research, or else hire someone to do it for you. If you have any advice, I would greatly appreciate it.
