Paula It is even more probable that before they reached the green hills of Antrim that they came from Scotland during the Plantations. That was the period when Scottish Protestants were given tracts of land to settle in mainly Catholic Ulster. - Duncan ----- Original Message ----- From: Paula Barker <barker@flash.net> To: <CRAIG-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, April 13, 2000 2:21 PM Subject: Re: [CRAIG-L] Craig and Nickle, Nicholl, Nicol etc. > I have my family here in America....I want to find them in N. Yes, I know this, but I do not know how to research it from here in Texas. I have a passel of Scots Irish ancestors who came over about the same time: Faulkner Hutchinson Lessley/Leslie Craig Gillespie Wier McElwee Latham all came about the same time to the same place in South Carolina Oh, I should also name Jackson as Pres. Andrew Jackson's mother would be a ggggggg aunt of mine as she was a Hutchinson and my Faulkner married Mary Leslie Andrew's first cousin.
