Dear Edith and Barbara, Jack Craig just brought to my attention that you might be using the delete button on the screen instead od the delete button on your keyboard. Is this the problem? Because I am also new at this I just figured it out. I couldn't delete it either. But what I can do is after I hit the reply button, then highlight footers and/or headers. I can then hit the cut button and it will disappear.
