My mother did not give me much information but after she passed away I found letters from some of my relitives and have been trying to piece things together. I had a mention of Wilson Jr. but not much information. If you have any other information I would love to have it. Let me know if you would like what information I have and I will try to put in some sort of order for you. Can you try and work out approx when Herberts father came to Australia from New Zealand, and where he settled? Also, occupations/other family names - in fact anything at all you can glean may help. I was just randomly putting in some of my surnames, on the Craig forum and I think I entered "Gardner"...or Oakley..anyway, I came up with your post, with "maybe" some clues to my other lines I've hit a wall on. My Craig was an Enfield Abbett Craig b:apx 1827;(nothing known on her)who married William Craig b: 1817-18. I only just this weekend, came upon some transcriptions of the 1850 Census records, of Morgan Co.,Ky where I believe I may have found some more on these Craigs. My Great-grandmother, was Katheryn "Kate" Elam, w/o Ben Oakley Sublett, lived in Morgan Co., Ky...moved to OT, ca1905. Her Mother was a Mary Craig, d/o Enfield & Wm Craig. Her dad was Robt. Franklin Elam, who was m:2nd to a Serena Prichard(?) Most were in the Morgan/Magoffin Co.,Ky area, from the mid 1850's, to at least early 1900's. Ben Sublett's line includes, Gardner/Bloomer/Raison - were in Boyd/Lawrence/Greenup/(other)Ky and over in Cabell Co.,W.Va Thanks for posting.
