I apologize to the List and to all our "Craig cuzins." I SHOULD have thought before I allowed my upset at political events to control my fingers. Those who unsubscribe because we got off subject, it is HISTORY of our families that have brought us on to this list. This will be/and is a part of our history. Unfortunately, this was the wrong place to express my view and for that I apologize. Sincerely, Mary Ann
I hear enough foolishness on the recent election from the unbridled liberal media --- I don't need to participate in a supposed genealogical mailing list which provides a platform for furthering the views of Bill Davis and whoever else out there wants to keep this nonsense going. UNSUBSCRIBE
Thanks for the opposing view. I agree. If only the country knew what went on here in FL. YES WE DO NOW HOW TO VOTE AND COUNT Could we know get back to family business. I am looking for information on TWO separate (at this point) and distinct Craig lines. My Craig: James Craig, b: 28 Apr 1804 in New Jersey who married Jane MacElvane/McIlvaine parents of Geo W Craig who married 2nd Anna K. Gaskill. They were the parents of Joseph Craig who married Mary Keeler. Joseph and Mary Keeler Craig were the parents of Robert Joseph Craig....my father. my Husbands Craig: Isabelle Craig b: 14 Jul 1821 in Virginia, married James Lamb and moved to Ohio Her parents were Samuel Craig (said to have been from Ireland) and Fannie Thomas of Virginia. I most certainly would like some help climbing over, crashing thru or making an end run around these SOLID GRANITE WALLS. Thanks Mary Ann
That sounds like a good idea, lets get back to geneology.
Let's get over it, folks. Bush is our President. That's not going to change. Let's move on. Steve Craig Albemarle Co., VA
I normaly keep quite and hope to find some info.about the Craig family, however if this list is going to become another political forum I don't to hear it!! Charles P Craig Cocoa Fl.
San Diego Union Tribune 12/6/00 "Lieberman asked "What will we tell our children if every vote is not counted?" "As a former teacher, I have been concerned about Joe Lieberman's question. What we should and must tell our children is that if they fail to mark the right answer on the exam, or do not fill in the entire test, they will not get credit for their answer. If they do it often enough and if they do not ask for help or read the directions properly, they will fail." "We should tell them that when they are older and move to Florida, they must fully read their ballots and remove the entire chad and no keep the nation waiting because of their mistakes. We must also tell them to read and read well, to play by the rules and expect a favorable outcome. Teaching them to make excuses for their mistakes has led to a society of victims unable to take responsibility."
Dear Bill & others. Though I agree with you I must say that this list is not the place to discuss contemporary politics. Please, let's stop it here. It has been quite some time since I posted this query about Gideon R. Craig. I quite sure that he has parents somewhere. Surely he didn't come from outer space, but haven't been able to find him before 1850 census in Ark. Gideon was b. 1830 in Tenn. d. abt 1903 in Ark. he was married in 1865-67 to Fredonia A. Pearce b. 1842 in Tenn. also, she died before 1900 probably in Ark although some of their children were in Texas by 1900. Children of Gideon and Donna were Nancy Ann b. 1866; John Calvin b. 1868; (my line) Gideon Ninon b. 1872; Charles Jefferson b. 1881; Florence b. 1886. Sure hope someone knows of this family. Thanks Pat Freeman
Thanks, Judy. Bud caudle

What does this have to do with CRAIG-L
Judy: It hit me too. Was that Gov. Page who when he went to have Peale (who did the most famous Jefferson portrait) paint Page's portrait, Peale painted one of Selim, his traveling companion - the most famous convert of the famous Reverend John Craig of the Shenandoah? Craig Grau
