Daniel has the following siblings: James, Margaret, William (b. 1685 in Scotland), Jane (b. 1695 in Scotland), Thomas (b. 1695), and Sarah (b. 1706 in Ireland). Another branch of my family ties into the Craig line as well. The farthest back I have gone with the second line is to William Craig, born about 1685 in Ireland and died in 1759 in Augusta County, Virginia. He married a woman named Jane, born 1689 in Ireland and died after 1759 (presumably in Virginia). My big question is whether or not these two William Craigs are the same person or not. If you think you might be able to help, please let me know and I can send you more information. I hope to hear from someone soon. ~Michael

His name was Thomas Craig and was born between 1822 and 1825 in Pennsylvania. By 1845 he was in Belmont County, Ohio, where he married Nancy Jane Hilliard. In 1850 they lived next door to William and Mary Craig (and their children Enoch, Andrew L., Nancy, Hannah, Phebe, Samuel, Mary, Margritta and John N.) in Homer Township, Morgan County, Ohio. William was born in Pennsylvania in about 1803, according to the 1850 Census. Because of their close proximity, I suspect that these two families may be related. By about 1855 Thomas and Nancy Jane Craig lived somewhere in Indiana, where two of their children were born, and they had moved to Wayne County, Illinois, by 1859. Their children were born in OH, IN and IL.
