    3. Hi, Cousins, I, for one, visit the Craig web site periodically to check for updates. I descend from Team 11, and several years ago tried to contact the team leader to add my information, however, never got a response. I know that trying to keep up with massive amount of information can be overwhelming, too. Craig, I like all the ideas you have listed. It would be very interesting to see how many lines actually have common ancestors! 3. I am leader of Team 14 and am actively pursuing Craig research. I have much new information and also have been unable for years to get a response from the person who updates the website. I am also trying to track in-laws and neighbors of my Craig's to see if I can figure out when and how they got to Abbeville, SC in the 1750-70 time period. I have not thought about getting DNA testing done - was waiting for the price to come down. -----Original Message----- From: Elaine & Lou Craig [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Saturday, January 10, 2004 7:24 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [CRAIG-L] CRAIG Team Leaders please respond! 2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/4IQ.2ACEB/2363 Message Board Post: Looking for family of Mettlin Craig Sr. who lived in Decatur, Illinois. I believe Mettlin, a music teacher, was also in a Jazz band lead by my uncle Zackie Moore. Zackie Moore's band cut a recording in Chicago in 1927, and played in Havana Cuba in 1930. Most of their work was around the Decatur area, though. The name of the band performing"Blue River" on the Jazz Record was Zackie Moore and the Illinoisy Seven. It seemed to be an up and coming group and I wonder what stopped them. Zackie married my aunt much later, and I was born many years after that. Others in the band from Decatur were Clarence Ray, Clifford and Leslie Harkness, and Charles Morris. Dan De Nufas was from Peoria, Illinois. Others in the band who performed in Havana were R. B. Parkinson and Hipple Bennett of Amarilla, Texas; Harold Stoddard of Kalamazoo, Michigan; Kelsey Averill and Jerry Aldridgeof San Antonio, Texas; William Case of Forth Worth; and Gus Gilbert of Teshoma, Oklahoma. I would be interested in connecting with family of any of the above men to learn more regarding Zackie Moore's Band, Zackie Moore's Orchestra, and/or the Illinoisy Seven.
