I just subscribed. So I thought I'd let you know about my Cowpers. They come from Scotland, as far as I know they've been in Crief, Edinburgh and Glasgow. The emigrated to India in the depression before WW1. I know know much, yet Mr ? Cowper married Mrs ? MacDonald They had five children: Douglas George (born 1880?), Melvile, John, Estelle and Ronald. They emigrated to India Douglas married a Mercy Merphy and had Stanley, Eunice and Glen. Douglas then married Minnie Borrisbow and had George and Florence (Florence is my granny) He returned to England Douglas then married Violet Bell and retired to Brighton, England where he died. Several children of Douglas's siblings live in Australia. Best wishes Tamsin
