Doing some research for my mother on her fathers side of the family. This is what I have. GGGP were Dirk Van Cowden who was born in 1790 who came from Holland to Knox Cty. He was a blacksmith. He married a Cherokee Indian, but I don't have her name. GGP were not sure if his first name is John M. Cowden who married an Irish women with the last name of Reagan who lived in Sevier Cty. There children were Annie Cowden, Tom Cowden, and Mary Jane Cowden (Jane). (Mary Jane Cowden was born 01/29/1878 and died in 1968). Mary Jane married Samuel Jackson Sharp and there children were Charles Monroe (my moms father), Margaret, and William. If anyone has any info, please email me! Thank you!
