Dear List Members, I'm looking for any Descendants of the family of Lindsey Sylvester Murphree, s/o Daniel Thomas Alexander Murphree and Phinetta Ann Cornelius of Blount Co., AL. Lindsey S. Murphree was born on Nov. 18, 1856 in Blount County and died on Jul 26, 1896 and is buried in Remlap Cemetery in Blount Co. He married Martha Hendricks on Feb. 7, 1878 and they had five children: Ida May Murphree Edward Lee Murphree Minnie Murphree Judge Thomas Alexander "Tam" Murphree married Helen Rosa Randolph Mary Jane Murphree married Burton McCoy Tidwell Lindsey S. Murphree had two siblings by the first marriage of his mother named: Nancy Jane Murphree Rosetta K. Murphree After Lindsey Sylvester Murphree's father D. T. A. Murphree was killed in the Civil War, his mother Phinetta Ann Cornelius married Wilson Carol Cowden and they had: Sarah F. Cowden Amanda M. Cowden William D. Cowden Joseph P. Cowden Isa B. Cowden Any documented information on this Murphree Family would be greatly appreciated.
