Surnames: Cowden, Trimble, Neal Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/nFQ.2ACEB/186 Message Board Post: I am trying to make a positive identification of a John William Cowden, born in Kentucky between 1775 and 1784, who married Mary Trimble in Fayette County, Kentucky, in 1802. He died in Indiana, but the date of his death is unknown. (It was most likely between 1833 and 1850.) I strongly suspect that John William Cowden came from the North Carolina branch of the Cowden family in America, but beyond that I am at a loss. I would like the opportunity to exchange information and ideas with Cowden researchers who might be able to help me identify John William Cowden's parents. My line is through Elizabeth Cowden (1806-51), wife of William Neal.
