Robert Allen COWDEN was born on the 16th of July in 1855 in Buffalo, Dallas County, Missouri. It is believed, but not yet proven, that his parents are Robert COWDEN and Mary BARLOW, I have no evidence of this as of yet, as I have surveyed the 1860 Buffalo, Dallas County, MO census, and under Robert and Mary is no listing for Robert, or any variation thereof. He met, and marred Elizabeth OLINGER, daughter to Philip Israel OLINGER (OHLINGER) and Mary YEAGER, originally from Tennessee, having moved to Buffalo sometime after 1854, but before 1857. This Robert Cowden has been a thorn in my side for a number of years and I would really love to get it out of my side and get on with researching the other branches of my family. I even put my Genealogy down for over 8 years because of the frustration that I had suffered from not being able to find the right parentage for Robert Allen Cowden. I have come to believe that there are just as many ROBERT COWDEN's out there as there are John Smith's!!!!
