Joseph Pinkney Cowan was born in AL in 1852 married Sarah (Sally)Catherine Mardis who was born about 1857. They were married Dec 25 1879 in Fayette, AL. One of the children was William David, my g'grandfather, he was born in AL April 21,1880, so it was after that when they went to TX. Sarah died around 1887 in Henderson Co. TX. Joseph remarried, Sarah (Sallie) (Slaughter) Bailey. He died April 27 1927 in Waco, TX. I have a picture which was sent to me by another "Cowan Cousin". Will be happy to share whatever I have that interests you. Would also appreciate any information you have.
