Am helping a friend search for his ancestress whose name is apparently not recorded anywhere! She was the daughter of Revolutionary War soldier John WHITE of Bertie County, NC, and she married Lewis COWAND. Neither saw fit to mention her by name in any documents we have found, so far. John White's Will, dated 1834 clearly references his son-in-law Lewis COWAND and Lewis' son Dempsey COWAN, but not Lewis' wife, at least by name. Would appreciate any help you can give him.
