No, I don't think he's from Mississippi. What I have is John C. Corder b. ca 1869 probably in LA. He is the son of William Marion Cowan and Leanna Rogers of Ouachita Parish, LA. Wm is the son of Elijah Cowan and Sarah of Henry Co, GA. Elijah is my mystery ancestor! I have more on Elijah's children and on Wm Marion's children, but nothing more on John C.
