    3. Caroline, So that means that you have some of the papers for Rush (I believe is the county) IN??? It was where a lot of the land grants were given. 1830 is a good period of time for a lot of the different family members to end up in that area. Also are the LDS films or are they films that the newspapers have had filmed. I have been looking at a film of Dover, TN or Stewart County, Tennessee - it is a odd assortment of newspapers, but I have picked up so many little things about the area that I did not know and have picked up many little blips about people that are in my family tree, but did not know they were in that area. So it has given me many leads to follow up on. I had been wondering what the correct spelling of "Margarette" was - I have a Margarette that married my John Horace Cowan in Ohio. This was during my life time. Where is the Griffith line from - do any of them end up in Frederick county, Maryland? It often helps to know where or list members are located - may times there are cousins visiting in the area that would drop in or spend the day if they knew you were there. I have had several that research the Cowan's of Jefferson, Sevier, Knox, Blount , and Sullivan County, TN or Russell County, VA spend time with me. Now, I also have some that have been in the area and keep promising that they will call and don't!!!!<g> Laura Cowan Cooper
