My great grandfather was George Steward Cowan, b. 1872 in Hiwasee, Pulaksi, Va. He married Metta Akers b. 1891, Va and their children were all born in Morristown, TN. His father was George, b. 22 Sept 1837 in Pulaski Va. He married a Nancy, b.about 1838 in Va. George's father was also George, b. 1794 in Va. I believe his mother's name was Elizabeth. If anyone has information on these Cowans, I would appreciate it. Thanks!
