Note--this is an OPINION only but I suspect I am correct. I looked at a lot of dictionaries and googled words. I found: http://dictionary.law.com venire (ven-eer-ay) n. the list from which jurors may be selected. -- Note the pronounciation -- "venirey" is apparently the English equivalent of "venire" which is pronounced the way Googling I found several citations to venire tickets--I am guessing that it is a payment for jury duty. judy arnn-knight http://doublehorn.com/text/beverly/lincolntryonnc.txt Pg. 46.
