Hugh was born in Scotland abt 1870. I've not been able to find out when he emigrated to Michigan. He lived in Detroit until his death in 1932. He was married to Jessie Shearer who emigrated to Detroit from Scotland in 1891. Together they had 3 children that I know of and two of the children moved on to southern California.
