It is believed he was the son of Thomas Cowan & an unknown Miss Gardner. Apparently his family emigrated to Baltimore ca. 1809. He ended up in Canada and married Desire Green in Blenheim, Ontario on July 1st 1823. He died March 15th 1880 in Princeton, Ontario. Any information would be a great help. Thank-you, Karen
