It is just SE of Woodbine, IA.At one time the area was called Boyer Township. It's a very small fenced in cemetery. The stones we could read were as follows: Emeline wife of M. Cowan died May 6, 1883 --- S Farnsworth died May 10, 1873 At the top of this marker it says My Husband.(on this stone it also says the age of the person - I think it says 33 years and 10 months) --- Francis son of M & E Cowan died at the age of 2 years --- Son of C. E. & N. E. Cowan Died April 3, 1894 Aged 1 y, 1 m, 9 days (Clyde is on the top of the stone) There was also 3 small stones only one had any markings left, it said FMC. The cemetery is about one and a half blocks from the road. It cannot be seen from the road, but the big beautiful oak tree they are buried under can be. We were told by a person living nearby that a man from Sioux Falls or Sioux City, IA goes to the cemetery every Memorial weekend and places flowers on the graves and buys apples from the nearby orchard...curious. I am willing to share these pictures with you if you would like some extra documentation. Also the 1860 Iowa census for Boyer Township has a Miles Cowan 26, Emeline Cowan 23, and William Cowan 1.
