Are there any male descendants of John Cowen b. 1790 in Kentucky who have done the DNA testing? I know I am descended from a set of Cowen(an) brothers that l went through the Carolinas early on, as my grandmother told me so. Unfortunately I was a dumb 18 year old at the time and I did not ask the right questions nor can I remember how many brothers it was (she said a number). John had only one son I know of, Willis. Willis Cowen had William Thomas Cowan (my ggf) with brothers James B and Jesse A Cowan. A DNA match to one of the brother groups for a male descendant of any of these three brothers would just make my day! Also, William Thomas had sons Austin Frank Burrell and Ernest if anyone on the list is descended from any of these men I would appreciate a contact. My fathers cousins are unknown to me and I have no trace yet. His uncle Austin was the source of my Dad's middle name. Grandma spoke often of her sisters but I don't remember a single word about any of her brothers. I found their names through research.
