Also in the will of Robert Cowan found in Rowan County Wills Book H, page 594, we find him mentioning his daughter Rebecca Cowan and his son-in-law Aaron Cowan. Robert and Samuel Cowan were brothers; therefore, Rebecca married her first cousin. In FHC Film #1605617 Loose Estate Files in Rowan County, North Carolina we find that in 1833 that John Cowan died. He was suppose to be taking care of Audley Cowan, his retarded brother and was his guardian. John was given special consideration in his father's will for taking care of Audley. We find in the loose paper file for John Cowan 1833 a paper that has a list of brothers and sisters of John Cowan or the children of Robert Cowan. In this list it speaks of Audley Cowan's guardian and friend, Aaron V. Cowan.
