I really don't have much information so this may be a longshot. Up until now I thought my husbands grandfather's real name had been SCHRAM but it turns out that was his adopted name and his real last name should have been COWEN or COWAN. His given names were William Vernon and he was born in March in Detroit, MI. He was married a couple times and through one marriage he had a daughter named Roxanne and then he married Yolanda Rae Yack and had Kimberly Ann and Dawn Marie. Kimberly and Dawn were also adopted out and Kimberly's name was changed to Kris Louis Smith (not sure why the change). William Vernon Cowen/Cowan/Schram's siblings were Richard (known as Dick) and Nancy and Ernie. Nancy and Ernie died of cancer.
