I am looking for the Varner connection in the line - figure that maybe Henry Cowan who was married to Jean was maybe Jean Varner. They had what is reported as being 9 children - Samuel and Robert both had children with Varner as the middle name. I don't have much in my database on the other children so don't know if each son that had a son had a Varner. The mystery of Robert Varner Cowan's wife Nancy Caples or Kepley was solved when the actual marriage info was pulled for the couple - the correct name is correct as Nancy Caples.
