They married two of the Ginn sisters. They along with other family members moved to St. Clair County, AL between 1815 and 1845. They were the sons of John Cowan b. 1792 d. 1828 in Laurens Co., S.C. Laurens County borders Abbeville Co on the northeast. Their father was David Cowan b. 1755, d. 1826. We do not know who his father was, and wonder if your line connects up.
