    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Cowan Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/DMQ.2ACIB/1126.1 Message Board Post: Since you know that your husband was a Cowan at birth and don't know what line to follow, how about doing the DNA testing?? We have had some good results. The project it open to any Cowan male and that includes those that are Cowan by name and adopted which is just the opposite of your problem. Are the records sealed?? Thanks for posting and I hope that you will get some leads. Are you sure that the spelling was the "a"? I bring this up since there is also the "e" and the "i" spelling so that you might want to also post to those lists.

Please post back to the Cowan Board to let us know if you all have in fact linked as family. This will give hope to those that don't think that they will find that lost family memeber, but posting does get results. We just don't see all of it on the Cowan Board so please keep in mind that posting your needs and keeping your e-mail address updated does get results when you least expect it!!!!
