As reported to be said by a son of Robert Crandall Covey: Ebenezer Sr came from Hartford, CT and was the son of Elisha and Elizabeth Covey. More info: Ebenezer Covey b. 30 July 1790 in Rensselaer Co., NY; d. 13 May 1871 at Falls Twp., Wyoming Co; m. 22 Nov 1812 Lydia Elizabeth Ross b. 30 Nov 1793 at Kingston, Luzerne Co; d. 2 Apr 1858 at Falls Twp; d/o William Ross and Betsey Osborn. They [Ebenezer and Lydia] are bur. at Fairview Cem. in Overfield Twp. More info: Elisha Covey Jr b. 25 Apr 1770; probably d. before 1800; m. Elizabeth Mott b. 2 Jan 1770, d/o Ebenezer and Elizabeth (Braman) Mott. Ebenezer Mott b. 19 Aug 1735 RI; d. 23 Mar 1829. Elizabeth Braman b. 31 Dec 1739 RI; d. 23 Aug 1806. Res. CT, Sullivan Co, NY, Rensselaer Co., NY. I have these names as the children of Ebenezer Covey and Lydia Ross of Luzerne and Wyoming Co's PA: Clarissa, Almeron/Almerson, Ebenezer, William, Vincent, Lewis, Mary Ann, Delight, and Elizabeth. {This is not necessarily in the order of their birth} Hope some of this info helps others and we can do some exchanging of facts regarding this Covey line in PA.
