    1. COVEY posting
    2. Dear Asa & List, As a means of introduction, because Im handicapped and most of the places housing old records are not handicapped accessible, I am more of a compiler than a researcher, in other words, I take data that others gather that I am fortunate enough to have sent to me and try to link it with other data in my records. It sometimes contains primary sources and many times only the researchers name. If I receive conflicting data, I attempt to verify the most accurate source and record it, if I cannot verify which piece of information is correct, I record both. My dream, like Rita Ackerman our esteemed editor of Covey Cousins, is to have a complete data base w/documentation of the COMPLETE Covey line. In the meantime, Ill just send my new information to the COVEY List at: COVEY-L@rootsweb.com , and request data on the people Im presently working on. Now with that out of the way. Asa, Thank you for pointing out a mistake, in my last message to the list. The correct spelling for Phoebe BODDEEs is B-O-D-D-E-E. This information was from Researcher Alyce Ronzo, the error; mine. There is confusion over William Henry & Phoebe (BODDEE) COVEYs other children, when I get it settled, Ill post it on the list. I would like to welcome you to the Covey Cousins staff. I also want to compliment you on a very fine article, I will be looking forward to your others. List, As I said above, I goofed on the spelling of Phoebes maiden name in my last E-mail to the list. The correct spelling is: B-O-D-D-E-E. I sincerely hope my error did not cause to much havoc. I have two different sets of statts for Mary COVEY (daughter of Samuel Sr. & Susannah (YEARNS) COVEY. One set purports that Mary was: b. 16 Oct 1809 in VT; d. 7 Nov 1880 in Stanstead, Quebec. Canada.; m. Daniel BESSELL in Ibenville on 3 Feb 1829 The second set purports that she was: b. c1794 in Alburg, VT; d. c1882 in McMillan, WI; m. 7 Jul 1818 in Noyan, Missesquoi Co., PQ. Does anyone have a source for either? If so please post it. This is our list, posting to it helps us all! Sincerely, Larry
