I looked over the “Pennington Family’s Page”, you know, the one I told you about at: http://members.aol.com/BoardStock/index.html , and found some information to pass on. Melinda Pennington would tell you that these stats are not written in stone; some has been documented, others, submitted by “researchers”. What I found is: James COVEY, the son of Kingsbury and Mary Polly (BENNETT) COVEY, was born 1786 in Pulaski Co., VA, married Sally KELSEY 19 Oct 1810 in Montgomery Co., VA, he died 1870 in Caldwell Co., TX. James & Sally had a son named Joseph COVEY, Joseph was born 1818 in TN, married Maria M. CORBELL 1845 in Harrison Co., TX, he died 4 Jul 1894 in Caldwell Co., TX. -- * Joseph served in the Civil War in McCord’s Calvary Regiment.-- Sincerely, Larry
