Hello, Have a couple of things to add. Cooey is another possibility to be looking at while researching the Covey name. My James Covey was listed as Cooey in the WI death record index. I also have another surname to add, to the Covey descendants. Sylvester Covey's daughter, Olive Covey b September 18, 1878, married Silas Steele in 1892. They had two children that I know of Edgar and Myron Steele. She later married Irvin Brown. Sylvester was b July 17, 1841, in Stanstead Canada. This group of Covey's all lived and died in WI. I'm not sure what happened to the Steele boys. This is new info. Sue
