Me again with more questions. According to his gravestone JOHN COVEY of Grafton died in 1818 and was born in 1754. There are probate papers for this man that give his wife as MARTHA and two daughters as POLLY and OLIVE Wallis. A grandson is mentioned as John Covey III - therefore there was no doubt a John Covey -son. Today I received information that the John Covey born 1716/17 in Westerly, RI was married to MARTHA Burdick and they had children: Polly, Olive and John (born 1744 RI and died 1818 East Grafton, Rensselaer Co NY).
