Henry COVEY b: ca. 1770 Maryland d: Bef. 16 September 1826 King's Creek, Talbot Co., MD; m. Eleanor (b: 1772; d. after 1850) 7 December 1805 Talbot County, MD. Eleanor was the widow of Samuel Edmondson when she and Henry married. Henry & Eleanor's children: 2. Edward COVEY (1806-1875, Talbot County, MD) m. 1832 Susan E. CAULK (1809-1869, Talbot County, MD). Edward was, alas, the notorious slave trader who figures in Frederick Douglass's autobiography. Edward & Susan's children: 3. Graduated from Univ. of MD Medical School, did graduate work in Paris and was a surgeon in the Confederate army during the Civil War.
