My grnadfather is John Marcus DAHLEM. I never knew him. He was born Dec. 25, 1889 in Pottridge, Kansas to Mary FAST and Henry DAHLEM. John lived in Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas. John married my grandmother on Nov. 28, 1925 in Tarrant County Texas. John and Cleo had a son, Billy Jack DAHLEM (my dad) b. March 9, 1927 in Maud, Pottawatamie, Oklahoma. My grandmother said John left to work on the railroads and she remarried. Cleo said he came back to get her, but . . . She said he sang on the radio in Ft. Worth. Cleo also said he had an uncle "Streeter" DAHLEM and aunt Myrle DAHLEM of Stroud Oklahoma. Cleo said Marcus was an only son(?) and his mother Mary Fast was a baker in Fort Worth. Mary and Henry divorced, she said. I have found out he died in Tulsa, Oklahma on Nov. 25, 1959 and is buried there. He was at the time married to Sylvia DAHLEM on 1720 West 37th, Tulsa, Oklahoma. He has(d) a brother E.N. DAHLEM (Wichita, Kansas), sisters: Clara DRYDEN (Stillwater OK) and Susie BUCKLAND (San Leandro, California) and three neices Beulah COVEY (Caldwell, Kansas), Thelma WRIGHT (Medicine Lodge, Kansas) and Maurice ARRIC(?) I know he was in WWI and was a member on the Masonic Charity Foundation of Oklahoma of Guthrie Oklahoma. That is as far as I can get. I never knew any DAHLEMs other that my dad and brothers. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
