Hi Jill, When I saw your query on the COVEY List, I was sorry that I couldnt help but just knew some other cousin would. Well, I was entering some data that a cousin, Berl Orr, had sent to me and I saw the name, Elizabeth Covey sp James Brock Reagor, and remembered your post. Sure enough, Beryl not only had Elizabeth & husband included in the info. he had sent me, there was her father; Joseph COVEY, b. 1777 in Montgomery, VA, m. Rosanna BARRINGER (b. 28 Mar 1785 in Montgomery, VA) on 13 Jan 1802. I have included a Family Group Sheet for Elizabeth. I would suggest that, to obtain more data Elizabeths ancestors that you send another e-mail to the List. I would also suggest that Beryl send some of his vast info. to the list and that you & Beryl start corresponding about a common interest. And, if I can help either or both of you, please let me know via the List. I dont show a son James but as you know, that means only that I dont show a son named James. He does, however, have a brother named James and since the name, James, was so very popular with the COVEYs, Archibald could have very likely had a son named James. I was wondering if Archibald & Susanna could be the parents of your elusive James? What do you think? Write when you can, Larry Baker cc: COVEY List
I am trying to find how my great grandfather Levin H. Covey fits into the Covey family tree. I know he was a Civil War soldier, I have his record of service for the war. He was a Methodist minister and is buried in the cemetery of the Hickory Valley, Methodist Church near Batesville, Arkansas. If anyone can help I will be very appreciative. Jerry Haertlein

Dear Covey Cousins: I am looking for info on Elizabeth Covey. I know very litle about her, but here is what I do know. Elizabeth Covey married James Brock Reagor and they had a daughter, Mary Catherine Reagor. May married Franklin Gardner and had three children. After Franklin died in the Civil War, Mary married James Wilkes Hart (July 24, 1868). They proceeded to have a whole mess of kids, including my great grandfather, James Derrell Hart. Any info on Elizabeth would be greatly appreciated.
