But the marriage licence records show he lists himself from Quebec. Believe he was son of Aaron Covey but wanting something more to go on. If anyone has 1880 NY census or 1880 Quebec census and can validate Aaron Covey and a son, John, would love to hear from you.

Hi Everyone, I am so excited to find this list. My Name is Cathy Atkins (Covey). I live in Mass. I have, over this past weekend traced my roots back to a Mr. and Mrs. Covey born about 1595 in England. One of their son's named James was born in London England and came to Boston Mass. He had a son named Hope (I know not a male name). He married Mary Lanphere and one of their son's, James Covey, married a Sarah Lanphere and one of their son's Samuel was my great, great, great, great, grandfather. Samuel was from Canada in an area know as Covey Hill Quebec. My father was Philip Joseph Covey, born 1939 in Lynn,Mass. He died in Lynn, Mass about 10 years ago. Cathy Atkins (Covey)
