This conclusion is made by interpreting legal testimony, made in 1835, when she is said to be past the age of 85 and attested to by Joseph Covey of Willets, Cortland Co., NY, who states that he is her brother, in Hannah's claim for Rev War widow's benefits. Hannah was married October 12, 1778 in Frederickstown, Dutchess, NY by the Rev. Joseph Close, to Albert A. Carley/Kerley. They had children Malissa, Abraham, Hannah, son - Cyrus?, Rhoda, George C(ovey?), John, William, James, Adeline, all born in Ballstown, Albany, NY, and Samantha, b.
