Nontron / d. 09 May 1749 in Sault aux Recollet, Quebec) and Jeanne Besnard (b. 06 JAN 1674/75 in Boucherville, Chambly, Quebec / d. 08 May 1749 in Sault-au-Recollet, Quebec). - married 04 Oct 1734 in St-Laurent, Montreal, Quebec - Father Deat provided the certificate of publication of the banns in the groom's parish [Montréal]. The groom's father and the bride's mother provided their consent. Father J. Letessier. Also present were Jean Baptiste Deguire (the groom's father), Jeanne Besnard (the bride's mother), Jean Baptiste Deguire (the groom's uncle), Francois Deguire (the groom's uncle), Michel Valade (the groom's first cousin), Jean Baptiste Ogue (the groom's uncle), Francois Ogue (the groom's uncle), Noel Cousineau (the bride's brother),Francois Marie Cousineau (the bride's brother), Jean Grou and Jacques Grou (brothers by marriage and nephews of the groom), and Louis Lacrois (the bride's nephew). Louis Deguire b. 29 Jul 1713 in St-Laurent, Montreal, Quebec bapt. 30 Jul 1713 in Montreal, Quebec by Father Priat. Also present were Jean Baptiste Adhemar ("commis au greffe" [?assistant clerk]) and Elisabeth Demers, daughter of Nicolas Demers. bur. 14 Jun 1755 in St-Laurent, Montreal, Quebec by Father Leminitry dit Durumen. Also present were ? Amplement ("prêtre" [priest]) and ? Curatteau ("ecclésiastique" [ecclesiastic]). While they had 12 children, I am interested in their 4th child: Marie Josephe Deguire dite LaRose b. 18 Jan 1742 in St-Laurent, Quebec bapt. 18 Jan 1742 in St Laurent, Quebec by Father J. Matis. Also present were Jacques Grandmaison ("perruquier" [wigmaker]) and Marie Marguerite Veronau. - married on 23 Nov 1761 at St-Laurent, Montreal, Quebec by Father Robert - Also present were Pierre Vredon, Charles Menard, Marie Cousineau, Francois Cousineau and Louis Deguir (bride's brother). In the register of Christ Church, Montreal, the record of the christening of a number of Wadin children after this date - being researched. Jean Etienne Ouaden dit Vadeboncoeur/Wadin/Wadden/Woden/Vuadin b. La Tour de Paix, Berne Canton, Switzerland s/o Adam Samuel Waddens/Vaudin and Bernardine Ermon Emigrated abt 1756 and would appear to have come to Canada with the British army Occupation: merchant and trader. In the winter of 1780-81, while at Lac la Rouge, he was killed in an altercation with Peter Pond. They had 4 known daughters, 3 of whom survived. Any help at all would be appreciated.
