COUSINEAU, 86, of Landmark Assisted Living, Fall River, formerly of Swansea, a former teacher, died Wednesday in Catholic Memorial Home, Fall River. He was the husband of the late Annette J. (Berard) Cousineau. Born in Fall River, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Cousineau, he had lived in Swansea for many years before moving to Fall River. Mr. Cousineau had taught vocational arts in the Dighton-Rehoboth and Little Compton school systems for several years before retiring, and had previously worked at the Robert Peckham Co., and the Hayward Wakefield Furniture Co. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific with the Seabees. Mr. Cousineau was a graduate of Diman Vocational School, and received a bachelor's degree in vocational education from Rhode Island College in 1972. He enjoyed traveling, walking at Westport Harbor and along the coast of Florida, and family genealogy. He leaves a son, Paul B. Cousineau of Somerville, Mass.; three sisters, Marcelle Soares of Fall River, Yolande Marrion of Attleboro and Helene Cyr of Thomaston, Conn.; two brothers, John Cousineau of Los Angeles and Philip Cousineau of Brunswick, Maine; and a grandson. He was the father of the late Norbert Emile Cousineau, and brother of the late Arthur, Edmond, Victor, Henry and Paul Cousineau. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated April 17 at 11 a.m. in St. Dominic Church, GAR Highway. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
