Cousineau of West Hartford, husband of the late Pauline (Lemaire) Cousineau, died peacefully at his home on Sunday, (August 17, 2003) with his loving family by his side. He was born in Fall River, MA on March 12, 1925, the son of the late Emile and Florence (Dupre) Cousineau. He leaves behind his eight children and nine grandchildren; son, Richard Cousineau of Wheeling, WV, granddaughter Kandarpa; daughter, Jeanne (Cousineau) Nelson and son-in-law Doug Nelson of Peabody, MA; daughter, Suzanne (Cousineau) Niedbala and son-in-law Joseph Niedbala, grandchildren, Amanda, Daniel and Gregory of Cromwell; daughter, Anne (Cousineau) Cramer and son-in-law Bernard Cramer; son, William Cousineau and daughter-in-law Cynthia (Cutler) Cousineau, grandson, Joseph of Newington; daughter, Ellen (Cousineau) Fournier and son-in-law Henry Fournier, grandchildren, Henry Jr., Christine, Peter, and Julie of West Hartford; daughter, Jo-Ann Cousineau and her fiance John Denton of Meriden; an! d son, Paul A. Cousineau Jr. of Alta Loma, CA. He is survived by his sisters, Marcelle (Cousineau) Soares of Fall River, MA; Yolande (Cousineau) Marrion of Attleboro MA; brother, Joseph Emile Cousineau of Swansea, MA; sister, Helene (Cousineau) Cyr of Thomaston; brother, John Cousineau of Port Hueneme, CA; and brother, Louis Phillippe Cousineau, Sr. of Brunswick, ME; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Victor, Edmond, Arthur and Henry. Mr. Cousineau was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during World War II. He retired from the carpentry trade at age 65 and continued his mobile sharpening business (Cousineau Sharpening) until the spring of this year. He was a long- time resident of Hartford (1955-1969) and West Hartford (1969-2003). Calling hours will be TODAY from 5-7 p.m. at the Molloy Funeral Home, 906 Farmington Ave., West Hartford. The funeral will be Wednesday at 10:15 a.m. from the funeral home, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. i! n St. Peter Claver Church, 47 Pleasant St., West Hartford. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, West Hartford. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to St. Francis Hospital Hospice, 114 Woodland Street, Hartford, CT 06105.
