Surrounded by her loving family, Irene was received into Eternal Life and into the arms of her loving husband Eugene (2001) on March 30, 2004, at Devonshire Seniors Residence at the age of 85. Loving and caring mother of 9 children; Gloria and Gordon Freeman, Windsor; Raymond and Margaret Cousineau, Sudbury; June and Randy Catton, Tecumseh; Gerald and Mariann Cousineau, London; Roy and Bonnie Cousineau, Windsor; Janet Dupuis and friend Rick Clements, Windsor; Margaret (Clarke) and Bill Carter, Lakeshore; Mary and Rick Chernawski, Windsor; and James and Cindy Cousineau, LaSalle. Daughter of the late Benomi and Lavina Strong Renaud, and predeceased by her sister Alice Hood, brothers Raymond, Lawrence and Henry Renaud. Also survived by 16 grandchildren; Neil Freeman, Sharon Moreland, Lori Hugli, Scott Cousineau, Jennifer Mousseau, Christopher and Jonathon Co! usineau, Keri and Michael Catton, Jeffery and Bradley Clarke, Ashley Dupuis, Amanda and Aimee Chernawski, Jeremy and Britney Cousineau; and 8 great grandchildren Christopher Jahn, Morgan Cousineau, Erin Moreland, Leah and Joshua Hugli, Tyler and Noah Mousseau and Koral Freeman. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Resting at the Windsor Chapel Funeral Home, 1700 Tecumseh Road East, on Thursday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers Thursday afternoon at 4 p.m. PLEASE NOTE: Relatives and friends are requested to meet at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church (834 Raymo Rd.) on Friday, April 2, 2004 at 10:15 a.m. for a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment Windsor Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice of Windsor & Essex County would be greatly appreciated by the family.
